In Florida, a sealed or expunged arrest may be lawfully denied. The websites that copied your booking photo never got the memo. We find every copy and put the law behind your request to take it down.

Arrested is not guilty. The internet can't tell the difference.

A booking photo is taken before anyone decides whether a charge holds. The charge can be dropped, dismissed, sealed or expunged. The photo stays on page one.

Clean Slate Initiative

Your worst ten seconds, ranked by strangers.

Aggregator sites scrape every county booking log the moment it posts. Repost accounts pick the faces they find funny and serve them to hundreds of thousands of followers. Nobody asked.

THE SITES

Scrape, publish, wait

A dozen commercial sites republish booking photos with your name, charge and county, and rank for your name in search. These are the ones the law reaches, and where we start.

THE ACCOUNTS

Booking photos as content

Repost accounts turn county rosters into entertainment. They sit outside Florida's mugshot statute, so the lever is each platform's own privacy rules — and we know which platform honours which report, and which one will not.

THE COST

Digital punishment

Sociologist Sarah Esther Lageson found people quietly opt out of jobs, volunteering and their children's schools to avoid the day a record surfaces. Around 90% of landlords screen with reports that ignore expungements.

How it works

Three steps, and you sign the one that matters.

Find

We search the commercial publisher index by name and date of birth, then re-check every month. You see every copy we find, the exact page it sits on, and whether the law reaches it.

Demand

You sign a request written for Florida Statute 901.43. We identify the publisher's registered agent, send it by registered mail, and track the ten-day clock. Repost accounts get the platform report that actually works for that platform.

Verify

Before-and-after evidence for every listing, a search-engine refresh so the thumbnail dies too, and monthly re-checks. If a publisher ignores a proper request, you get a complete escalation packet for an attorney you retain.

We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We never pay a website to take anything down.

The law is on your side. How much depends on your state.

Only some states force a website to take a booking photo down. Others only stop it charging you. We verified every statute against the legislature's own text in September 2026 — including several widely quoted "mugshot laws" that do not exist.

Flat prices. No guarantees we can't keep.

Other removal services charge $500–$3,000 per site. We never pay a website to take anything down — we charge for preparing, sending, tracking and verifying the request.

Questions people actually ask

Is Scrubmug a law firm?

No. Scrubmug is a private administrative service. We find the listings, prepare the request for you to sign, identify the right recipient, send it by registered mail, track the deadline and collect the evidence. We do not give legal advice. If a publisher ignores a proper request, we hand you a complete packet for an attorney you retain directly — and Florida law shifts attorney fees onto the publisher when an injunction has to be enforced.

Can you guarantee removal?

No, and anyone who says they can is selling you something. Most commercial publishers comply with a properly served Florida request. Some ignore everything. A few are offshore and effectively out of reach. We tell you which category each listing falls into before you pay, refund in full if we fail to send, and publish our measured removal rates by site.

How did you get my name?

If you received a letter from us, it is because a booking record matching your name appears in a public county booking log, and we found copies of it published online. We never obtain names from data brokers, credit files or anyone who knows you. Reply STOP or use the opt-out link and you will never hear from us again.

Do you keep my booking photo?

We never publish or display it. We keep the address of the page it sits on and a small private copy used only to verify that a page has actually taken it down. We delete what we hold when the work is done or when you ask.

What about Instagram, TikTok and X?

Repost accounts sit outside Florida's mugshot statute, so each platform's own rules are the lever, and they differ enormously. YouTube accepts a report from an authorised representative and gives the uploader a 48-hour window. Snapchat accepts third-party reports and usually answers within hours. TikTok requires you to file from your own account — we write the exact wording for you. X has a representative form but usually refuses, because a booking photo is already public. Meta almost never removes these for US adults, and we will tell you that rather than take your money for it.

My case wasn't dismissed. Can I still do this?

In Florida, yes. The statute covers any person whose booking photo a commercial publisher has posted — the outcome of the case does not change the duty to remove. A sealed or expunged case simply makes the request stronger.

What does "$1,000 a day" actually mean?

Florida Statute 901.43 lets a court impose $1,000 per day, and $5,000 per day for republishing — but only after a publisher violates a court injunction, and that money goes to the State, not to you. What you get is the removal, the injunction, and your attorney's fees. We say this plainly because nobody else does.

How long does it take?

A publisher that complies usually acts within the ten-day statutory window. Search engines take a few more days to drop the cached thumbnail once the page is gone. Escalation, if it is needed, runs on court timelines rather than ours.
